Group Incentive fee: The group fee incentive is to encourage Universities/Colleges to extend this leadership training to the Royal Court members (attendants, class kings/queens etc.,). Many of our past royal court members, who have attended the conference, have later became the official king or queen and benefited from this professional training. It has also helped the entire group understand their roles as campus ambassadors collectively.
Advisors: Advisors who want to attend any of the activities, workshops etc. must pay the above fee; otherwise, he or she will not be allowed to participate in any activities concerning the conference.
Payment: In order to take advantage of the early bird registration fees must be paid by the deadline; fees thereafter must be presented at the time of registration. Only a University, college, and or sponsoring company check will be accepted. In the event that a person chooses to pay for this conference personally they should pay with a cashier’s check or money order; in this case $25 will be taken off of the registration fee according to the guidelines stated above. Major credit cards (Visa/MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) accepted.
No registration fees will be refunded due to cancellation! However registration fees are transferable to another participant.
Make check payable to Leadership for Queens (Federal Tax Id# 32-0013781) registered in the state of TN. Please make sure our current W-9 is correct in your filing system. To ensure that we receive your payment, please mail all checks no later than July 3, 2018. After this date payments will be accepted onsite during registration. All fees are due at the time of registration.

Lodging is not included. The conference will take place at Royal Sonesta New Orleans Hotel, 300 Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, (504) 586-0300. Please identify HBCU King and Queen conference if you call in your reservation. The hotel rate is $159 per night for deluxe king/double. Please do not delay in making your reservations with the hotel because space is limited and we would like all the kings and queens in the same location for the purpose of sharing and bonding. Furthermore, our conference staff will be staying at the hotel in case of emergencies or special concerns. With other big events in the city that weekend, we strongly suggest you reserve your room now to guarantee your space. This rate and block is guaranteed on or before Tuesday, July 10, 2018 (before 5pm). After this date we cannot guarantee the rate of $159 or the availability. For easy processing for the hotel when paying with a University/College check by mail please specify the names of the persons/students and their reservation numbers.For your travel convenience please note the conference rate is available the day before the conference starts if you desire to come early (July 25) as well as the day the conference ends (July 29) if you want to stay over.
Parking fees: Valet Parking (only) at the Royal Sonesta Hotel is $41, plus tax, for our group per night. Please call us for additional information for Bus parking.
Airports: Those flying to New Orleans, LA, will fly into the New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) 12 miles, 20 minutes. The New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) is just 12 miles, 20 minutes from The Ritz-Carlton and offers flights to/from most major cities.
Transportation: The Royal Sonesta Hotel does not have an airport shuttle. For ground transportation options to the hotel please coordinate through www.flymsy.com , $20 each way or Cab – $33 one way. All other transportation will be provided by the conference for offsite conference locations.
Meals: A continental breakfast meals will be provided for all registered conference participants, who are staying onsite, during the conference stay beginning Friday, July 27 and Sunday July 29. Other meals provided during the conference are as follows: Thursday-opening reception; which includes heavy Hors d’oeuvres immediately following the program. Friday-all meals are provided. Saturday breakfast and lunch will be provided offsite. Sat dinner will not be provided and will be the responsibility of the conference participant. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the Awards & Masquerade ball.
Attire: Dress for the leadership conference is business casual. Comfortable shoes are a must. You should be mindful that you are a reflection of your college or university; therefore, presentable attire in and out of sessions will be required. The etiquette seminar is after five attire. The Masquerade Ball welcomes formal attire but it is not required; however, semi-formal is required. (Mask for the Ball are encouraged) Conference t-shirts are worn on Saturday during the day. Kings and Queens will wear their school t-shirts to the Friday night program. Please keep in mind Kings and Queens are expected to exemplify the highest level of appearance and behavior. (Pictures are taken at all times, especially the day of arrival). As a training for young business professional conference ask that kings and queens are appropriately and fully dressed when leaving their rooms, including but not limited, to breakfast and all other functions noted.
